My lawyer said we can use the same non PO Box address mentioned in the EAD to send the AP documents as well. According to the lawyer you can send it all in one big envelope and demarcate the I-131 vs the I-765 or do it like I am, in 2 seperate smaller envelopes and then I am going to put the 2 envelopes in the same fedex package and mail it out.

My PD is current since I filed the case, after waiting for almost 8 months I opened the S.R and got the letter back explaining...."We are actively working on your case, however your case under extended background check…blah..blah..blah…"

I came back from India in Dec 1st week and my POE was NY. They took me inside and didn't ask any Q's. They verified and stamped on I-94.

yep EAD is linked to your 485 application and not your employer. especially after 180 days of 485 filing a lot people consider themselves free to jump the boat with very little to no issues.

This plea is for people who are still undecided about the rally and have lot of friends in the same situation. If there is a group of friends in the same situation it only takes one brave soul to make a decision and every one will jump in. We all seen this in trivial matters like going for vacation, movies etc..
I see the problem is in taking the first step and others will jump right in immediately. So if your friends look up for you to make the decision, please be a leader and do it now. You will not only make a difference in their life and their life as well.
Can you take that elusive first step?????. People in and around DC area it's only a day trip. Atlanta/NC/SC folks, not too late. Please PM either me or ramus.

due to changes in procedures, a lot of the applications are going to the lock box facilities, this is slowing things down (it was actually supposed to make things go faster but we all know USCIS pretty well by now)

I checked with attorney and I believe that is true, PP for H1b is not carried over on RFE reply. Response to RFE will go in a regular queue for evaluation. But, I hope this is not the case.
Yes, I read in forums RFE's and 221g both have become more regular these days.

If you apply in PP, you will receive an approval, denial, NOID or RFE with in 15 days. 15 day clock will start ticking once USCIS receives the response to RFE. AFAIK, this holds true as of writing.

04/29/2007: Need for Networking of Immigrants to Support Immigration Reform Legislation
When it comes to the community organizing and support activities for the comprehensive immigration reform legislation, there are hundreds of organizations that organize, network, and mobilize the immigrants in support of the issues involving the difficult issues of legalization of illegal aliens. However, the same is not true with the employment-based immigration reform issues. The lobbying and organizing and support of these issues rely heavily on the employers, businesses, and academic institutions such as competeamerica. Without doubt, the employers should be the most effective and powerful groups to pressure the Congress, President, and other players in the political process.
However, it is time that the immigrants themselves also participate in a similar effort to share information, issues, and supporting activities. Obviously, the first move is to organize and build a network throuhout the nation and the world, and along with the networking, other support activities must be conducted and expanded. There are not too many immigrant groups that are focused on the employment-based immigration reform issues. Currently, a website of www.immigrationvoice.org is launching this campaign and attempting to organize and network in the employment-based immigrant communities. This reporter urges the foreign professional workers to visit and join this group to help an activities of side-kick from the standpoint of stakeholder foreign workers in support of the employers and their support groups. "Networking" will create a power in the political process.
