Hate to be negative or a spoilsport. I am just as proud of this as any other Indian. But, is it too much to ask for, to have at least ONE of the three links on the page working? Is it too much to expect to have the video move beyond "buffering".
I know there probably isn't any link between this and a moon mission, but one would expect the page to look a bit decent and for something on that page to work. I really hope the people who built that page had nothing to do with the actual mission!

Thanks for your response and it sounds very interesting to me. In essence, you would wait for her H1 to be approved, then transfer your H1 as long as your new employer can get and her H4 (until sep 30th).
What if her H1 is not approved until Aug? Is there a point in filing for H4 extension up to Sep 30th in Aug? What are the consequences of that not getting approved before sep 30th? In that case waiting until Oct 1st seems to be the better option.
I will talk to a lawyer and let you know what kind of response I will get.

My spouse was on H4 then got a job and changed to H1. Subsequently spouse lost her job and is now back on H4. I have been on H1 throughout and my six years of H1B visa expire in 2010. MY spouse I and want to get our H1 and H4 visa stamped in Mumbai consulate.
Does any one think that the changeover from H4 to H1 and then again to H4 could be a reason to be concerned about for getting the visa stamped at the consulate?
Appreciate your valauable advice.

Once you are on EAD, you cannot go go back to H1B. The reason is by working on EAD you showed an intent to immigrate and where as H1B is a non-immigrant visa

The battle for comprehensive immigration reform is going to be tough as Senate Republicans play politics with the critical immigration issue. The Senate passed its $44.3 billion fiscal 2010 Homeland Security appropriations measure 84-6 last week after three days of debate that differentiated the bill from its House companion on a handful of border security and immigration policies. Unfortunately Senate Republicans used the opportunity to add significant new provisions to the less controversial �extender provisions� including an extension to the Special Immigrant Nonminister Religious Worker Program and the Conrad Waiver Program for Physicians Serving in Underserved Areas. The Senate also included a provision promoted by AILA member Brent Renison to allow the foreign-born widows, children and parents of citizens who have died to retain their legal status to seek citizenship for two years after the death. My only question with your scenario is the how did you think that even without the current scenario of frontlog how can you expect to receive the I-485 receipt in one week.

Well I'm not sure about datalists but assuming you have edited the object in memory the binding should reflect the edits. If not I usually just write a Requery method which queries the data source again and rebinds the offending control
You might want to have a look at CSLA - it's a library for maniuplation of business objects supporting parent/child collection heirarchies, error providing, multiple undo levels etc etc - it certainly speeds up creating a business app around here. We usually combine it with CSLAGen which is a template generator based on CodeSmith which generates CSLA objects for you from a database schema - all you need to do is write the sprocs which get/update/delete the data and then it does the rest (you might tweak it a little here and there).
It's got a bit of a learning curve but once you know what you are doing it's invaluable! That would solve your refresh issues :)

Now I found a new employer who has a project for me but want me to join in 1-2 weeks. SO I was wondering what options do I have?
Is it possible to apply for B1 for some time and come and simultaneously apply for H1 Transfer.
Please let me know. Your help is appreciated.

B1/B2 is not intended for work (or to even to seek work) - The best way is to apply for H1 in premium, get it stamped and go back. If everything goes smooth, total turnaround time would be 4 weeks tops.

I got EAD on February 2008 with my primary GC employer. My PD is just 4 months away and I got a job offer in a big company which I cannot afford to loose.
The the job duties in my new job remain the same but I am worried to change job during this time when PDs are jumping very fast. The max I can delay the joining my new employer cannot be more than a 1 month. Please suggest the best approach...

But what I need is the Employer Offer letter to me. They gave me a letter with some 3 lines saying my job title, Salary and start date. It does not include the Job responsibilities. It does not even say the word "Full Time". When I asked them they said that is their standard format.
Do you have format that I can use. I want to send them and insist that I get the letter in that format.

Your new company must sponsor your H1 before the old company send the request to cancel your H1.
Once revoked, you have probably couple of weeks to pack up. So, its best you get started on the new H1 before the old H1 is revoked.

I believe they would process the application within 15 days. It doesnt necessarily have to be an approval or denial, they can even send a RFE.
Once you respond to the RFE, its not necessary that they have to process your case with in 15 days.
